the wall VI

In Janipur, their are 4 jobs, (none of these are good!) the Cleaners, the Builders, the Drivers, and the Sick Keepers. In Janipur, you don't always have a job though. the ones without jobs are called The Lifeless, and they usually end up jumping.
Then this is what my society looks like. First, imagine the ugliest, most abandoned, creepiest place you've ever seen. Times that by 100. then paint it gray and chip it up and fill it with people in rags. That is probably what Janipur looks like. Next imagine the busiest, cleanest, biggest, newest city you've ever seen. Make it covered in beautiful grass and flowers and paint it green, blue, red, gray, and white. That's probably what Loysal looks like. Everyone knows who their parents are. they see them once a year. Mine are from Loysal, which makes me Loysalian. My best friend, Estiha Kering, on the other hand is Janipuran. So, If we were adults, we would never be allowed to communicate unless I was a wall guard or government worker and she came up to me.

The wall part III

By the way did I ever say my name? Ah yes, I'm Silenia Astes. Silenia is a popular name in my world. It means silent and fierce.  I'm 13. The year where my fait gets decided. Whether I am Janipur or Loysal. Everyone knows I'll be Loysal. I Always agree to everyone and everything. I don't exactly have my own opinion.
By the way this is how my society works. There are the Loysal and Janipur. Then there is the Children Keeping, where all the children are kept till they're 13. Inside Loysal, there are 5 jobs.
Governments, wall guarders, teachers, food suppliers, and runners.

Phones

                                Phones!

My family quietly walked into the AT&T store. I was so exited!  Earlier that week, my parents had told me that I would be getting my own cell phone. You see, my brother and sister knew they were getting phones for around a month.   My parents said it was for safety reasons and schedule changes and bl-blab-bl-blabbla and stuff, but I didn't care. I just wanted a phone. My brother and sister are 12 and I'm 10. We are all getting our first phones. And I'm getting mine before they ever got their first phones. A lady Called out to us and said “Nelson family! Are you guys ready to see some cool phones?” We all looked at all the cool phones. We thought for a while about the phones we wanted. I chose the Samsung S5 mini. Then we got to pick out cases. I picked out a super cool pink case. Then we waited for the phones and data plans to get set. It felt like five hours until we were done with that.  But sadly the person setting up our phones messed up so we had to wait like an extra 1/2 hour. Finally, our phones were ready. We spent the rest of the day exploring them!

the choice part 1

I looked up at the door. If I pulled it open, I would have a new life. If I left it,my life would be the same. I knew I needed something different, but I should be grateful for the life I have. You see, I the world I live in, you can have a life with your family and friends, or you can go to the reader. The reader will tell you your fait. Some are sent to the door, like me. Others stay in the world.

Small Moment: the time when I choked on a rockwall

I started climbing. I was going to reach the top. I started going at top speed. I didn't think I'd make it to the top. I knew I'd make it. I put my foot on a bright red rock and pushed off. Then I grabbed onto a blue rock. I pulled myself up. I reached high up to a beautiful pink and white rock. You see, I was climbing a 25 foot rock-wall and I have a very, very bad fear of heights. My mom was cheering for me at the bottom. I pushed. I pulled. I grabbed and kicked. I was so close to the top. I knew I was going to ring that bright red bell. I pulled up to the tip-tip top. I reached up and grabbed that bell and rang it. I pushed off the wall to get down. But then I spun in a circle.then the back of my helmet got stuck on a rock. I screamed and kicked, but no one noticed. Then finally my mom saw my face turn purple. One of the workers got up on the wall and pulled me down. I was so grateful for her! I now know not to push off the rock wall as hard.

Finally Five Nights At Freddys

Everyone keeps talking about one certain game. Five Nights At Freddy's. Trust me, I don't paly this game. Actually I didn't know what it was until today! I kept asking all my friends what it was, and I got the same answer. "You don't know what five nights at Freddy's is! It's the best game in the world!!"They would all answer. Finally I asked my friend Vivian, and she told me what it was. "Five nights at Freddy's was a game were you're a security guard of a pizzeria that has animatronic robots as entertainment. At night, the robots come to life and think you're a robot without your costume on. And you NEED to have your costume on. If they catch you the will make you wear a costume, which will kill you. You have to try to do this five times." She told me.
                                                       Thanks Vivian!!:)

The Wall part ll

I've always Looked up to the Jumpers. How they climb up the 800 ft wall, look over the vast horizon, and jump. They've always had this determination in their eyes, like they could do anything. I want to jump.

Snoring: a TRUE story

every night I have the same bedtime routine. Shower, get PJs on, brush teeth, read, TRY to sleep. why I say try you may ask, my dad is the LOUDEST snorer in the world! Seriously, you can hear it from my room across the hall! he sounds like a snoring giant with the sniffles. Wait, not even that! He sounds like an old car starting up next to the sleeping giant. that's why I try to get to sleep before him. The best days are when my dad sleeps sitting up. For some strange reason that I don't know he snores less when he sits up. Even though he is a very, very, very, very, very loud snorer I still love him so, so much.

Fiction Story: The Wall, Part I

I live in the Society. The last society. The place where all the people are kept safe from the outside. We don't what's beyond it. Beyond the Wall. Some say a dangerous forest. Others say an ocean. One as far as the eye can see. Then there are the Destinies, also known as the Jumpers. They think there's a world out there, one that's even better than ours.
Our world is separated into groups and subgroups. The main groups are Loysal, they’re the ones who believe in our government. And Janpur, the Jumpers. Everyone wants to be a Loysal, even when most people are Janpur.

Saving Miggy

"Go to the other side!" My sister, Abby called out. we were in my neighbor's yard trying to get their cat, Miggy. we were surrounding the cat, who was in indoor cat. Miggy was standing on a pile of sharp twigs and sticks. I started shaking the cat treats. Miggy didn't do anything. I went under the pile and grabbed Miggy. She wiggled and squirmed. I tried running up the steep side of the hill. My sister yelled "give me the cat!!" I ran up and gave her the cat. We both ran up the hill. We had just saved the day!!

A Fall

I hopped out of the limousine.  We were dropping off my friend from my birthday party.  My birthday party was a trip around Birmingham in a limo with a stop for lunch and ice cream. We took pictures and said goodbye. One of the pictures we got on each other's backs and started running around.  I jumped on my friend gabby's back and started charging at the house. I started slipping off her back.  She set me down carefully.
I jump to get on her back again.  I fell on the ground with a hard THUMP! My head started spinning like crazy. I thought I broke my neck. My heart pounded on my chest.  I heard someone scream "Are you okay?!"
I tried to move but it hurt to much.  Finally after a few seconds I reached up for someone to help me.  I sat down on a bench and cooled down.
My eyes stung from crying. I finally stood up and was able to get back in. People surrounded me and asked what happened. I was fine. "Hopefully." I thought to myself.

Small moment: Dance Competition

I waited behind the stage. I looked up at the other trio, they were AMAZING! I was so nervous. what if I fell off the stage? what if I started turning and couldn't stop? I had so many questions buzzing in my head. I looked up at my competition again. they started doing leaps into the splits! I knew I could do it. I stepped up on the stage and swallowed my fear. After all, it was my first dance competition. I was dancing for my studio Annette and Company. I was in the mini tap-line with my friends, Katie and Sari. I did my starting pose. When the music started, it felt like my feet had a mind of their own. I did every step. When the music was over, I felt like a star. I knew I could do it, so I did it.
