I made birbery

Yay!! Finally I made the birbery!! I love reading and this was something I really enjoyed doing. I also read other books during the time because I wanted to read multiple things, but I'm still very happy that I made the birbery. The birbery competition is a really great opportunity for middle schoolers. So far I read echo, war that saved my life, roller girl, Stella by starlight, and fish in a tree. Right now I'm reading the boys who challenged hitler,  and I really like it so fae. It's quite short, but still good. I still have a lot more to read, but I think I can.

Rating emojis challenge

I'm going to start rating emojis!! What I mean by that is I'm going to choose an emoji, then rate it by how much I like it and how much I use it. Then I will try to write something about how I like that emoji!!
😘- my first emoji is the kissy heart emoji. Use-9 -like-10 this is one of my favorite emojis of all time. I use it frequently, and I think it's pretty good. I would say it's one of the classics, because it's used kind of a lot. Thais emoji is almost always in my recents because it's my absolute favorite, why, who knows?

Guess what i did on my day off: Baking! (sarcastically gasps)

yes. i baked. just like i always do! today i baked funfetti cupcakes and peanut butter cookies. i decorated the cupcakes with pink frosting and sprinkles, so they look really valentine's day-ish. but, that wasn't necessarily the purpose. i just wanted pink frosting. i also tried a technique i learned from the book fish in a tree. you first take some cake batter, the you cover it in flour until it isn't sticky anymore. the you shape it into whatever shape or letter(s) you want. i put 1 word in1 of my cupcakes, just to see if it would work. i think it did work, but i can't be sure just yet. i'll have to wait and see. i think both treats turned out really good, because the cupcakes look really good ( id didn't let anyone eat them yet) and all the cookies were gone before i even got home from swimming. so, in all i think i had a really successful day of baking!

should anyone be able to buy drones?

claim:there should be stricter laws on who can buy and operate drones

supporting reasons: people can see and steal private information, and they can harm things flying in the air.

buzzzzzzzz! buzzzzzzzz! buzzzzzzzz! the sound of my neighbor’s drone shoots into my ear. i look up to see the drone flying through the air. i quickly duck, i’m in no mood to get hit by a drone today.  drones are used for everything nowadays, from military, to package deliveries, to recreational and fun purposes. but should anybody really be able to use drones?  i think there should be stricter requirements on buying drones. Drones can be a hazard to planes, military, animals, and other things they can come in contact with. drones can also record inappropriate content, and finally, drones can damage or hurt private property.  

first and foremost, drones can be a hazard to planes, military airspace, and animals in the air. sure drones can be fun, but the danger is endless. if a drone was flying and accidentally came in contact with a plane or military aircraft, all the people on board could be injured, or worse. These problems can be easily fixed if drones were only sold to people who knew how to operate them without causing a hazard.

secondly, drones can record inappropriate content.  imagine you are filing your taxes, and you decide to work outside. a drone could easily record all of your personal information, and possible steal money from your bank account. again, this problem could be completely gone if drones were only sold to people who would use them properly. don’t you want to keep your personal information, passwords, and other content safe?

and finally, drones can damage personal property, and people.  a drone can go flying out of control and crash into a house and/or building. this could then injure the property, and possibly the people inside of it. this is definitely a problem that needs action. we need to keep property, people, and other things safe. if there was a restriction on drone buying, these problems would decrease so much! drones are fun and cool, but they are also hazardous. we need to enforce laws to prevent hazards from happening. if we do, i wouldn’t be worried about my neighbor’s drone flying over my head. i would actually enjoy drones, knowing i would be safe.

the mid terms

today in math, we started the mid terms. i was so nervous, i felt like i was going to puke. i studied, i payed attention in class,but i was still so nervous. as i finished up my unit 6 test and took it up to the turn-in basket, i felt my stomach drop. i took my mid year test and startedit. first, i looked over it. then i realized, i knew this! this really is everything i learned this year so far! i didn't need to do all that studying, i payed attention, i knew this! i started the test and felt confident. i feel ready for tomorrow.

into the books fiction series

some days, i wish life wasn't as real as it is. i wish that people judged you on your kindness and heart than what brand your pants are, like in fairy tales. i wish that you could go on an adventure and fly away to neverland, like Wendy. i wish i got to just jump down a rabbit hole to a world I've always wanted, like Alice. i wish i could just jump into the books I've known as a child. i dream of things like this, every day in fact. some days more than others, but none the less, every day. i want to fly like tinker bell, and soar across the world, i want to look down to see beauty, not look up to see my math teacher.

    i sit in the back so no one notices me. i mean, not like anyone does anyway, but i do so the teacher will specifically not notice me. i always have my textbooks and notepad out so it looks as though im paying attention, but i'm in the world of my books. at that specific moment in time, i was right there watching harry kill the bascalius in the chamber of secrets. i felt like i was really there, really, actually in the adventure with harry potter, Ron Weasley, Hermoine Granger, and all the other characters in the harry potter books. that is, until i heard the clunk clunk sound of my science teacher's brown ankle boot tapping on the ground.
"ahem!" she coughed
"uh, yes?" i quietly said.
"what are the properties of hydrogen peroxide, Ms. Jenni Calbeer?" she sternly asked
"what?" i replied
"what are the properties of hydrogen peroxide?!" she yelled so the whole school could hear.
"um, it's a strong oxidizing agent i think." i half-heartedly said.
"actually you are right. but pay attention next time, alright?" she said as she walked away.
few. that was a close one. i reallyt didntcare what she said as i dived right back to where i left off. right. harry was killing the bascalus.

Missing break

Today was a regular day. I really wish it wasn't. I miss break so much right now!! The thrills, the relaxation, the suprises, everything. But we all eventually have to get into the swing of things, and enjoy are everyday lives. Break was so awesome because I got to do something I have been wanting to do forever, which is visit universal studios. I may miss it, but at least I have great memories from everything we did. One of my favorite memories is from a show/ride called posidon's fury. I was the "volentold" person and I had a lot of fun doing it. It's something I'll remember for a long time.
