Bye 2015

2015....that's a wrap!
2015 has been a great year, but it's gone by so quickly!! Here is a list of some of my favorite 20115 memories!

2015 was amazing and I hate to see it go, but it also means new experiences and new thing to try!

Universal

We checked into our resort at universal, we got our tickets and express passes, we were all ready. We walked over to the park, went through security, and we were in. We made a list of the rides with the longest lines, and we started. We did minions, visited diagon alley, rode the Simons ride, rode revenge of the mummy, and many more all in our first day! On our second day, we probably did double thay! We did ever thing on the universal side of the parl, which includes: diagon alley, escape from gringots, transformers, e.t. adventure, Hollywood rip ride rockit, revenge of the mummy, and more. On our last day, we did mainly  everything on the island of adventure side, which included Harry potter and the forbidden journey, spiderman, ripsaw falls, Seuss landing, fearfall, jurassic park, hogsmeade village, and dueling dragons.

The drive...

Sooo, this is the worst part of the vacation. The 18 hour painful drive to Florida. At least our car had a dvd player and I had my phone and lots of candy! We left at about 11 o'clock, and arrived at our hotel in Charlotte NC at about ten o'clock at night. I was so tired, I fell right asleep. We woke up at about 2:30 in the Morin so we would arrive at about 11 o'clock am. When after what felt like years, we saw the yellow sign that said welcome to cocoa beach. We made it!

Suprise! Get in the car we're going to Florida! Part 2

My dad takes the hat and sticks it on my sister's head. "You're in griffinclaw, and Aidan you're in slitherbutt, Ainsley, you're in huffledoor!" I had a feeling this had to do with Harry potter because my dad was naming the houses at hogwarts, but all mixed up. The actual house are ravenclaw, slitherin, hufflepuff (qhich is my fav) and griffindoor, named after the 4 founders of hogwarts. "Okay, since I vet you 3 are really confused right now, I'll explain it. We are going to universal studios! We will drive down today, go to cocoa beach tomorrow and visit grandma and grandpa, them go to universal for 3 days, staying at a resort on park with express passes, then go back to cocoa beach for 4 days. Merry christmas, now go pack!

Suprise!! get in the car we're going to florida! Part 1

I look over at the clock, it's 6:00. I hear slight movement coming towards my room. My mom walks in and wakes my sister up, then me. I quickly realize something: it's christmas. I run to the staircase where my brother is already waiting. "You can come down now!" my dad says from the bottom of the stairs. We quickly run down stairs to see filled stockings and a very large wrapped box. We empty put or human-sized stockings and open each box carefully. A candy maker, the twelve days of earrings, a necklace I have been wanting for weeks, and loads of candy are just some of the items I find in my stocking. As my siblings finish opening their presents I slowly creep over to the large wrapped box in the middle of the room. "Okay, I'd every one done??" My mom asked. "Yup!" We answer. "Okay you can unwrap in in 3,2,1!" My mom yells. We peel the paper off the large cardboard box to find carpet and an old Halloween witch hat. "Uh, thanks??" My brother questions.

Baking challenge

I absolutely love baking! Especially around the holidays.  So when I first heard about the baking challenge, I
New I just had to do it. The baking challenge is when a person bakes ever day (or every other day) for usually a week or longer, then they post their pictures of it to social media. Since the only social media I'm allowed to use is twitter, and that's only for school related proposes, I will post them in my blog. Here is a great cookie recipe🍪.i love this one and it is my go to sugar cookie recipe

2¾ c. all-purpose flour½ tsp. baking powder¼ tsp. kosher salt1 c. unsalted butter¾ c. granulated sugar1 large egg1½ tsp. pure vanilla extract

DIRECTIONSIn a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.Using an electric mixer, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Beat in the egg and then the vanilla.Reduce the mixer speed to low and gradually add the flour mixture, mixing just until incorporated. Shape the dough into 4 disks and roll each between 2 sheets of wax paper to 1/8 inch thick. Chill until firm, 30 minutes in the refrigerator or 15 minutes in the freezer.Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper. Using floured cookie cutters, cut out cookies. Place on the prepared sheets. Reroll, chill, and cut the scraps.Bake, rotating the positions of the pans halfway through, until the cookies are lightly golden brown around the edges, 10 to 12 minutes. Let cool on the sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

now for today's post

i love almost all christmas songs. but out of all christmas songs, my favorite is white christmas. i have seen the movie so many times and this song just brings back good memories. and also as of today, i AM dreaming of a white christmas. there are many different versions of this song and many different singers of it, but i would have to stick with the original bing crosby. it is the original, and like many other things, the original is always the best! so, that if why it is my favorite, now here are the lyrics
